Electronic Engineering recently worked with Valley Queen Cheese in South Dakota to install a MOTOTRBO digital radio system for around 60 users. Valley Queen Cheese was previously using an analog system and decided to switch to digital to access the numerous features and capabilities that exist within the new system.

One feature is the telephone interconnect that enables transfers from landline incoming calls to radio users. Also, they are able to text from radio to radio.

Finally, they installed a system that interfaces with their software system to monitor their machines and send alerts to their radios when their systems have warnings or need attention.

Electronic Engineering, a 73-year-old wireless communication company, announced a partnership with Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) to enhance the technical labor workforce pipeline and provide students with tuition assistance with interest in electronic engineering, radio communications and robotics specializations.

“As our business continues to evolve, we are dedicated to ensuring that the next generation of Des Moines’ workforce has the technical skills to perform in our industry and others,” Mark Clark, President of Electronic Engineering, said.

Electronic Engineering has donated $20,000 worth of communications equipment for students to utilize in their studies. “We want to make sure the students are prepared with the proper tools and technology to learn transferrable skills that will equip them for their future professions,” Clark added.

In addition to equipment donation, Electronic Engineering announced a work-study program that will include tuition assistance to accepted students. The program will provide on-the-job experience while compensating the students for their work and offering funds towards their education at DMACC.
