The Iowa School Safety Alliance’s (ISSA) has recently announced the Safety Alliance’s 2019 video contest. The top three winners will receive cash prizes for their school.
This year’s contest theme is “What’s Your Plan?” and asks the students to focus on the mission of ISSA with an emphasis on mitigating natural and man-made threats and incidents. See contest rules for specific details and information. Deadline for submission is February 28, 2019
Electronic Engineering is excited to once again sponsor the third annual contest and event, “This contest provides a platform for students to use creativity to help drill home school safety practices,” Mark Clark, President of Electronic Engineering said. “School safety has never been more important; this can be a creative outlet as well as a learning opportunity for all students to hone in on their school’s best practices.”
“As we continue to work with school administrators on their plans for emergency communications and day-to-day operations, radio systems have proven to be a great method to ensure school administrators, classroom teachers, bus drivers and maintenance staff all have a unified way to communicate with each other and local public safety organizations,” Clark added.

- The contest submissions are due Thursday, February 28, 2019, and winners will be announced before the end of the school year.
