EE is pleased to announce that on 03/31/2021, we have sold the messaging assets (paging) to American Messaging Services, LLC (“AMS”). This transaction will combine two of the most respected critical messaging companies in the Midwest.
American Messaging is the second largest wireless messaging or critical messaging company in the United States, delivering more than 5 million critical messages per day. American Messaging provides service to approximately 700,000 critical messaging subscribers, including more than 1,400 major healthcare customers across the United States.
“EE rarely sells things, and is often the acquirer,” said EE President Mark Clark. “In this situation, this product offering needed specific focus and resources, which we felt could be better provided by AMS. We have been in the paging business for nearly sixty (60) years, and still have some mixed emotions, but when we look at what is best for our customers, AMS can bring so much more to the table in the way of new technology, cutting edge cellular apps, so we wanted to do what was best for our customers.”
Over the next several months, EE will continue to provide all customer service, billing, technical services, and system monitoring, and then EE’s system and customer service will be turned over to AMS when appropriate.
By using proprietary and third-party wireless messaging networks, together with its secure mobile application AMS Connect, American Messaging simultaneously delivers critical messages to dedicated messaging devices, mobile phones and personal computers. American Messaging also constructs and operates dedicated, proprietary critical messaging networks that operate independent of all commercial networks, providing redundant, rapid message delivery. Message delivery is easily initiated, monitored, securely archived, and responses can be viewed using AMS Connect or through software that is included as part of its overall service offering. We are excited to offer Electronic Engineering customers the same modern, reliable, and secure suite of critical messaging services currently available to American Messaging customers.
EE will continue its expansion and investment in technologies of two-way radio, video and access management system, vehicular telematics, and other critical communication products and services.
