Security and Access Control Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, program, test, repair, and service the electronic security solutions and equipment including: magnetic locks, electric strikes, electrified handle sets, electric hinges, access card readers, motion sensors, request to exit buttons, power supplies, wireless controllers/readers, door controllers, cameras and low-voltage wiring.
- Install, test, repair and service locks and door hardware including hinges, door openers/closers, handle sets, cores, pins, latches and other door related hardware.
- Run electrical wiring in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces, which can include drilling, trenching and aerial runs.
- Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that security systems are complete and satisfy customer and contractual requirements.
- Conducts tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational.
- Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements, and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations.
- Reads basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures; interprets manual, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
- Operate systems to demonstrate functionality, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions.
Radio Communication or RF Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain, service and install two-way radio wireless communications systems for Fire, Police, Ambulance, Government Agencies and Commercial businesses.
- Troubleshoot and repair two-way radio equipment, voice and data communication equipment, update radio equipment databases, construct electronic/radio frequency circuits, test and evaluate new equipment and technologies.
- Triage and repair radio infrastructure, including portable and mobile radios.
- Equipment includes but is not limited to Motorola, and LTR Trunking systems, wide area coverage systems, Bi-Directional Amplifiers, Paging Systems, and Motorola and Zetron Console Systems.
- Complete job tickets and other required work documents.
- Assist as ground support in antenna/cable installation or system maintenance work.
- Receive and make radio service calls.
- Ability to work after hours and be on-call.
